Anne Zeiser
President & CEO
Azure Media’s founder and CEO, Anne Zeiser, is an award-winning strategist whose background as a broadcast journalist, marketing executive, and social advocate uniquely positions her as the architect of successful, outcomes-driven media campaigns. Azure provides media companies with strategic counsel to shape projects that integrate editorial, marketing/sponsorship, and social change perspectives. For clients – BBC/WGBH, PBS, NOVA, Vulcan Productions, Providence Pictures, Stick Figure Productions and Fine Cut Productions – Anne is negotiating and overseeing multi-platform partnerships in film, TV, print, radio, online and mobile arenas and designing public education and social impact campaigns on science literacy, the environment, Latin culture, children’s health, homelessness, and human rights.
Before starting her own company, Anne was Executive Director of Marketing, Publicity & Media Platforms/Director of National Strategic Marketing at PBS/WGBH where she oversaw the strategic planning, marketing, publicity, impact campaigns and affiliate relations for PBS’s iconic national brands in drama, documentary, reality and children’s. These included Masterpiece Theatre, Mystery!, NOVA, NOVAscienceNOW, American Experience, FRONTLINE, Antiques Roadshow, This Old House, Ask This Old House, Real Simple, Gourmet’s Diary of a Foodie, Todd English’s Food Trip, Arthur, Peep, Between the Lions, Zoom, Curious George, Design Squad, and Martha Speaks, as well as numerous multi-media projects such as the critically-acclaimed Evolution, Martin Scorsese’s The Blues, National Geographic’s Strange Days on Planet Earth, and Rx for Survival—A Global Health Challenge. In her decade with PBS she quadrupled the marketing function and brought in more than $50 million.
Prior to joining WGBH, Anne was Senior Vice President of Public Relations and Strategic Planning at McDougall Advertising, Marketing and PR (later Bozell) and held senior agency positions at Mullen and Cabot (Arnold Worldwide), overseeing a variety of national corporate, consumer and public affairs accounts – from Marriott, Hotels, Resorts & Suites and NIKE to Bausch & Lomb and the clean-up of Boston Harbor. She was also an accomplished local and national news producer for CBS, where she contributed to 60 Minutes. Anne began her career in government. She is an Honors in government graduate of Smith College and conducted graduate work in anthropology in the South Pacific.
Anne has contributed to Emmy-, Peabody-, and duPont Columbia-award winning projects and has received top industry honors for her work in journalism, marketing, and public affairs including a national Emmy for Long-format Documentary; two PRSA’s Silver Anvil Awards of Excellence for Public Service and Integrated Marketing; two PR Week's Arts, Entertainment and Media Campaign of the Year awards; PROMAX awards for Television Program Promotion; the SABRE Award for Event Series, and many more. Anne is a member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences and sits on the Board of Directors of the Filmmaker’s Collaborative. She has presented at numerous industry conferences including SILVERDOCS, “Making Media Now,” The Asia Society, and the PBS/CPB Producers’ Academy.
